This summer was the most exciting and challenging couple of months of my career yet. I created my largest mural to date and had my first sculpture install with the city of Lakewood outside of Denver, CO.
Up first, in June I teamed up with Urban Artworks in Seattle to create a team-building mural at the new Lyft driver location off Industrial and Airport road in Seattle. I loved creating a piece where I filled out the lines and the team assisted in filling in the color for the rest of the afternoon.
I loved working with Urban Artworks, I have followed their work the past couple of years and was excited to collaborate.
I made a time-lapse video of the mural we created. The piece is two walls, at the entrance of their building. Each wall was 25 feet long and 11 feet high. We used long and step ladders. I named the piece “Starlit” as the stars above the city reflect actual constellations. I wanted to add them to the city to create a calm and reflective feeling.
Thank you again to Lyft and to Urban Artworks, I would not have been able to complete this project without you!
